Xiaoshan's first batch of natural gas buses "worked" this month

As of yesterday, 40 buses powered by liquefied natural gas had come to Xiaoshan Transportation Development Co., Ltd. to report to them, and technicians were inspecting and debugging. According to the company’s deputy general manager Jin Weijun, the first batch of 100 natural gas buses are expected to “get on the job” by the 18th of this month.

Compared with fuel vehicles, liquefied natural gas buses are more environmentally friendly and lower-carbon, with carbon dioxide emissions falling by about 20%, carbon monoxide dropping by about 90%, and hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides by about 70%. The tail gas emitted by natural gas buses is basically free from lead dust, mercury, and benzene and other harmful substances. The relevant data tests show that after the bus is “oil-to-gas”, it can reduce 436 g of nitrogen oxides per 100 kilometers, reduce particulate emissions by 9.97 grams, and reduce emissions of conventional pollutants and carbon dioxide by at least 15 tons a year, which is beneficial to me. District to promote the construction of ecological areas.

According to statistics, compared with fuel buses, if annual mileage is calculated to be 80,000 kilometers, natural gas buses can save fuel costs of more than 30,000 yuan each year; 100 natural gas buses can save fuel costs of more than 3 million yuan annually. .

In addition, because natural gas has the characteristics of high ignition point, low density, and narrow explosion limit, flammability is significantly lower than that of diesel, and natural gas vehicles have mature safety detection systems and automatic protection facilities, as well as natural gas station systems and vehicle systems themselves. The safety design requirements are very high, and the safety guarantee capability of the vehicle will be effectively improved. It has better safety performance than the fuel bus, and is less likely to occur. In the future, more will be put into the bus passenger line.
