During the reporting period, the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 34.229 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 45.16%, and earnings per share was 0.0563 yuan. In the first half of 2014, Yu Diamond achieved operating income of 277 million yuan, an increase of 3.64% over the same period of the previous year; operating profit was 36.227 million yuan, a decrease of 39.54% over the same period of the previous year. Yu Diamond said that the decline in net profit was mainly due to the expansion of the company's operating scale and the increase in borrowings led to an increase in financial expenses.
During the reporting period, Yu Diamond's financial expenses were 23.7322 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 146.52%; sales expenses and management expenses increased by 38.76% and 68.49% respectively.
