Construction Process

The sound measuring tube is designed based on principles of reliability and ease of use. When the steel reinforcement cage is fabricated, the first step is to splice and mount the steel bars, followed by connecting and positioning them. The reinforcement cage is then installed in the lower section, with wires bundled at the top every 2-3 meters. This ensures that the test tube is vertically aligned, which is crucial for pile foundation testing and prevents any collision with concrete during pouring.

First, the length of the test tube is determined based on the length of the steel cage. The bottom tube should be slightly longer than the bottom of the steel cage by about 20-30 cm.

Second, the installation of the bottom tube. The bottom part of the test tube is equipped with a movable clamp, which is positioned according to the actual construction conditions and then welded to the steel cage. This helps fix the test tube in place, preventing it from floating or rotating during the pouring process.

Third, the installation of the detection tube cage. Once the steel cage is formed, the connecting tubes are installed. A U-shaped steel bar is placed on the upper part of the test tube, allowing it to slide up and down. One end of the coupling is attached using an S-shaped steel hook. During the installation of the steel cage, the S-shaped hook is removed, and the test tube slides down to fit into the bottom tube. A wrench is used to tighten the nut, and the tube is secured with wire every 2-3 meters in between.

Fourth, the installation of the top cage. After the steel cage is in place, all joints of the test tube are completed, ensuring they are tightly secured. The test tube must be filled with clean water before the special cap is screwed on. All procedures are now complete.

Fifth, when installing the test tube in a half-cage structure. The test tube can be segmented and welded as needed, making it easier to position the reinforcing hoops. It can also be installed without the full steel cage. Compared to other methods, this approach saves three steel bars and offers greater safety and convenience.
