Yesterday morning, an accident occurred on a construction site in Gelan Town, Changshou District. A worker accidentally crashed while working at height and died on the spot.

The incident occurred at 10 o'clock in the morning. After the worker fell from the building, 120 doctors gave their first aid, but eventually they failed to save the middle-aged man's life.

Witnesses said that the workers were working on the scaffold on the fourth floor of the construction site, and the pedals under the feet were loosened and dropped off. Since workers did not wear safety ropes, they fell from high altitude.

On the scaffolding on the fourth floor, a section of the pedal was obviously vacant, and cement buckets used by the workers remained on site. A staff member at the construction site stated that before the incident they had reminded the worker of his safety.

The first eye reporter found that there was no safety net outside the scaffolding on the site, and the pedals on the scaffold were not fixed. The person in charge of the construction site stated that the scaffolding has just been erected and the next step will be to improve the safety measures. After the incident, construction work has been stopped at this site. Local public security and safety supervision departments have already investigated the cause of the accident.
