In March, the sales volume of internal combustion engine for construction machinery decreased by 25.99%

The non-road mobile machinery “National III” standard has been implemented since the 1st of this month, and its impact on the industry has already been generated. Recently, the internal combustion engine sales statistics announced in March that the diesel engine was affected by the country's 2-liter-country 3, and the sales volume continued to drop at a low level, and the cumulative decline gradually expanded. The cumulative sales of the internal combustion engine for construction machinery in March totaled 94,200 units, a year-on-year decrease of 25.99%.

According to the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association's "China's Internal Combustion Engine Industry Monthly Sales", March diesel engine sales reached 548,100 units, a year-on-year increase of 88.52%, a year-on-year decrease of 27.74%, and cumulative sales of 1.269 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 29.87%. Among them, the cumulative sales of internal combustion engines for construction machinery were 94,200 units, a year-on-year decrease of 25.99%; the cumulative sales of agricultural machinery used in internal combustion engines were 9,655,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 32.47%; and the cumulative sales of marine internal-combustion engines were 6,00 units, a year-on-year decrease of 35.61%.

According to reports, under the influence of “National 2” and “National 3” emission standards for diesel engines, some companies have stopped production since October 3, except for export products. For the single-cylinder diesel engine industry, which has a relatively high product share in the former two countries, sales continued to decline. In March, cumulative sales of single-cylinder diesel engines totaled 34.50 million units, a cumulative decrease of 53.53% year-on-year. The top five companies are: Changchai, Jiangsu Nonghua (formerly Jiangdong), Changlin agricultural equipment, Jintan, and Laiwu. Their sales of single firewood products accounted for 76.59% of the industry's sales volume. On the whole, industry companies are actively upgrading the country's three products to respond to market fluctuations in the new situation.

At the same time, the cumulative sales of multi-cylinder diesel engines have been significantly reduced compared to the same period due to the impact of the country's two-country-plus-threes, with a large reduction in engineering, agricultural, and marine use. In March, multi-cylinder diesel engine companies sold a total of 924,100 units, a cumulative decrease of 13.40% year-on-year. Sales of the top ten sales such as Yuchai, Quanchai, Weichai, Xichai, and Yunnei accounted for 70.40% of total sales. Among the other fields supported by multi-cylinder diesel engines, the agricultural and engineering industries are most affected by the country's 2-litre country 3, and sales volume has dropped by around 30%-35% year-on-year.

Obviously, the implementation of the National Three Standards has had some impact on the sales of internal combustion engines for construction machinery. Analyze the reasons, on the one hand, in the transitional phase of policy implementation. A large number of companies have not yet switched all products to the “National Three Models”. This still needs some time to gradually cover; on the other hand, the construction machinery industry itself is in the market development. During the trough, the demand for internal combustion engines from enterprises and the market is still not very strong. The construction machinery and accessories companies are still waiting to see the market and will not introduce new products in large quantities immediately.
