Mine cable composition and product representation

Mine cables are specifically designed for fire-retardant applications in coal mines. The term "coal mine fire cable" is defined by industry standards issued by the State Coal Industry Bureau, and the naming of these cables is based on their model numbers, which carry specific meanings. The name of a mine cable typically consists of eight parts. The first part is the series code "M," which stands for "coal" in Chinese pinyin. The second part represents the usage characteristic, indicating where the cable is applied. Common codes include C for coal mining machines, D for low-temperature environments, M for cap lamps, Y for mobile coal mining equipment, and Z for electric drills. The third part indicates the structural features of the cable, such as B for woven reinforcement, J for a monitoring core, P for non-metallic shielding, PT for metallic shielding, and Q for lightweight design. The fourth part refers to the material feature, with E indicating elastomer insulation or sheathing. If rubber is used, this part may be omitted. The fifth part specifies the rated voltage (U0/U) in kilovolts. The sixth, seventh, and eighth parts represent the number and cross-sectional area of power, ground, and auxiliary cores, respectively, using a multiplication sign and units of square millimeters. Mine cable products are represented by their model, specification, and standard number. For example: 1) A shearer shielded rubber-sheathed flexible cable with a rated voltage of 0.66/1.14 kV, 3×50 mm² power cores, 1×10 mm² ground core, and 4×4 mm² control cores, with a semi-conductive shielding layer, is labeled as MCP-0.66/1.14 3×50+1×10+4×4 MT818.2-1999. 2) A shearer screen monitoring and woven-reinforced rubber-sheathed flexible cable with similar specifications but with 3×50 mm² power cores, 1×25 mm² ground core, and 2×2.5 mm² control cores, including a monitoring core and woven reinforcement, is denoted as MCPJB-0.66/1.14 3×50+1×25+2×2.5 MT818.3-1999. 3) A metal-shielded monitoring rubber-sheathed flexible cable for shearer applications, with 3×70 mm² power cores, 1×35 mm² ground core, and 1×35 mm² monitoring core, is marked as MCPTJ-0.66/1.14 3×70+1×35+1×35 MT818.4-1999. Other examples include MYE-0.38/0.66 3×25+1×16 MT818.5-1999 for a mobile elastomer flexible cable, and MYPTJ-3.6/6 3×35+3×16/3+3×2.5 MT818.6-1999 for a metal-shielded monitoring cable. These models follow the MT818 standard, while some variations use the GB12972 national standard, with the series code "U" instead of "M" due to the existing use of "K" for control cables.
