From September 13th to 14th, the 2012 China International Conference on Cemented Carbide was held in Zhuzhou. Academician Huang Boyun of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and other well-known experts at home and abroad made academic reports and in-depth discussions on the frontier issues, research ideas and research methods in the field of cemented carbide, and demonstrated the latest application results. It is reported that this academic conference was hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Cemented Carbide and the State Key Laboratory of Powder Metallurgy. The conference held academic exchanges on topics such as hard materials, powder and alloy preparation processes, hard material surface engineering, hard material modeling, characterization and testing. The State Key Laboratory of Cemented Carbide is built by the Ministry of Science and Technology on the basis of the Zhuhard Group. Zhuhard Group is one of the “Top Ten Significant Projects†in Hunan Province. Last year, the company's cemented carbide production reached 23,500 tons, which is 38% of the world's total cemented carbide.
