Abstract Recently, the Jiangxi Dai Shaoyang Drilling Skills Master Studio and Wuxi Tin Drilling Geological Equipment Co., Ltd. held a product launch event in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. The collaboration resulted in the development of new products including the S110 and S130 rope drill pipes, drilling tools, and diamond drill bits, which address critical gaps in both domestic and international markets. These innovations mark a significant advancement in drilling technology, enhancing efficiency, core recovery rates, and borehole accuracy—especially in complex geological conditions.
The Dai Shaoyang Drilling Skills Master Studio was founded by Dai Shaoyang from the Jiangxi West Geological Survey Brigade, with support from the West Yunnan Geological Survey Brigade and the Jiangxi Engineering Senior Technical School. It brings together experienced drilling technicians, professional instructors, and senior technical personnel to foster innovation and knowledge sharing. In 2013, the studio partnered with Wuxi Tin Drilling Geological Equipment Co., Ltd. to develop the S110 and S130 rope drill systems, along with specialized tools and diamond bits. This partnership enabled the integration of rope drilling machines with standard casing systems, leading to a major breakthrough in drilling performance.
The new product line significantly improves drilling efficiency, core retrieval rates, and verticality control, making it ideal for applications such as water well drilling, coalbed methane extraction, shale gas exploration, and deep core sampling. These advancements are particularly valuable in challenging environments where precision and reliability are essential.
Currently, the S110 and S130 rope drill pipes, along with theiré…套 equipment, have been widely adopted by geological survey units in Jiangxi, Anhui, and other regions.
