The roller conveyor chain is composed of a roller 1 , a sleeve 2 , a pin 3 , an inner link plate 4 and an outer link plate 5 . An interference fit is used between the inner link plate and the sleeve, and between the outer link plate and the pin shaft. Between the roller and the sleeve, there is a clearance fit between the sleeve and the pin. When the inner and outer link plates are relatively flexed, the sleeve is free to rotate about the pin shaft. The roller is looped over the sleeve. During operation, the roller rolls along the sprocket tooth profile, which reduces the wear of the tooth profile. The wear of the chain mainly occurs on the contact surface of the pin and the sleeve. Therefore, a small gap should be left between the inner and outer chain plates so that the lubricating oil penetrates between the pin and the friction surface of the sleeve. In order to ensure the good meshing of the chain and the fastener teeth and improve the performance and life of the transmission, the roller conveyor sprocket should reasonably design the tooth shape and structure of the sprocket, and appropriately select the sprocket material.
