On December 31st, Zhejiang Jinggong New Energy Co., Ltd. successfully connected its 5MWp photovoltaic power generation project to the grid. This marks a significant milestone for Shaoxing as it becomes the first local company to integrate self-generated solar power with the electricity grid. The project is expected to generate approximately 6 million kWh of electricity annually, reducing reliance on traditional energy sources and promoting sustainable development.
The initiative not only highlights the company's commitment to green energy but also represents a major step forward in the industrialization of solar power in Shaoxing County. By using photovoltaic modules installed on the rooftops of its facilities, Jinggong New Energy is setting an example for other businesses to follow in adopting renewable energy solutions.
According to reports, the company plans to expand its solar capacity in two stages: 1 MW in 2010 and 5 MW in 2012. The total area covered by the photovoltaic modules will reach 80,000 square meters. Any excess electricity generated will be fed into the grid at a voltage level of 10 kilovolts or lower, ensuring efficient utilization of clean energy.
