Twenty Regulations for Using Excavator Pile Driver

Operators of pile machines need to undergo comprehensive professional training to fully grasp the structure, operating principles, and maintenance methods of the equipment. Without a valid operating certificate, operating the machine is strictly prohibited. Each component of the pile machine, including its power devices, winches, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems, should be used strictly according to the operating instructions provided. In the event of an electrical malfunction, only qualified electricians should handle the issue. During testing, installation, dismantling, or transportation of the pile machine, always follow the guidelines outlined in the user manual. In adverse weather conditions such as thunderstorms, heavy rain, snow, fog, or winds exceeding six on the Beaufort scale, operations should cease immediately. If wind speeds reach seven or higher, or if a severe typhoon warning is issued, the pile machine should be positioned facing the wind, with the pile pipe buried at least three meters into the soil, or the vibratory hammer placed on the ground, along with the addition of wind-resistant cables. In extreme cases, the frame may need to be lowered. Lightning protection measures should also be implemented, and personnel should stay clear of the pile driver during thunderstorms. Before starting each shift, operators should perform an initial test run to confirm that all components are functioning properly. When using a pile clamp, the pile should be securely clamped before any work begins, and the clamp should not be released until the operation is complete. Vibrations from the vibratory hammer must stop before the clamp is released. When moving, rotating, or adjusting the pile position, a dedicated individual should guide the machine to avoid accidents. The machine should rotate smoothly and perform continuous operations in the same direction for no more than one revolution. Simultaneous execution of multiple actions—such as lifting a vibratory hammer, lifting materials, walking, or rotating—is strictly prohibited. Overloading the equipment is forbidden, and operators must remain at their posts unless absolutely necessary. If parts fall off the columns or braces, if bolts loosen, or if there are any unusual noises or overheating issues within the system, the machine must be shut down immediately for inspection and repair. Any electrical or hydraulic faults should also prompt an immediate shutdown. If the vibratory hammer exhibits excessive amplitude over an extended period, the machine should be halted to determine the cause. While driving piles, corrections to their vertical alignment should be made promptly. Once a pile has been driven three meters into the ground, using the pile machine's movement or rotation to adjust the pile’s verticality is strictly prohibited. For pile frames that cannot be adjusted side-to-side, when adjusting the inclination of the columns, both left and right oblique supports should be driven simultaneously. At the end of each operational day, the pile pipe should either be sunk into the soil or the vibratory hammer placed on the ground, with the machine's power turned off to activate all brakes. For prolonged shutdowns, the pile machine should be parked on firm, level ground, with the vibratory hammer elevated and protected from the elements. When handling lifting operations for piles, ensure the hoist drum is secure and follow prescribed procedures. For step-type and track-type pile machines, when not in use, they should be parked in designated areas, with rail clamps engaged. When disconnecting oil pipes, care must be taken to prevent contamination of the pipe joints. Overall, safety and adherence to protocols are paramount in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of pile machines.
