The Ryton PPS extrusion line offers three levels worldwide: the Ryton XE3500BL, the Ryton XE4500BL and the Ryton XE5500BL.

These three levels of rigidity are between 1500 and 2500 MPa, which can meet the application requirements of flexible pipes with different wall thickness and diameter, or can also be used for thermoforming after extrusion.

Flexible cooling lines produced using Solvay's new extrusion polymer technology exhibit high melt strength, chemical and thermal stability, and improved tensile elongation and impact strength.

Solvay's injection grade grades include the Ryton XE5430BL (30% glass filled) and RytonR-4-270BL (40% glass filled). These materials have proven their suitability in many existing connector and bracket accessory applications, enabling automotive OEMs to design fully coordinated and integrated cooling line assemblies for engines and transmissions.

Since the cooling line is one of the last components designed to accommodate the engine compartment space, it is required that the material not only provides good design freedom to achieve a more complex cooling pipe path, but also provides higher heat resistance and Chemical resistance to ensure safe operation without adding weight (such as the elimination of additional insulation panels).

Solvay's Ryton PPS extrusion technology enables automotive OEMs to replace the power with smooth, lightweight and integrated solutions including connectors, overmolded brackets and welded brackets made of Ryton PPS injection grade materials. A bulky, expensive fluid handling line in the drive train.

Now, some of Europe's leading automotive OEMs have integrated lightweight Ryton PPS solutions, and other OEMs are also investigating the use of this material in various coolants and engine oils and power transmission oil treatment systems to find alternatives. Some metal/rubber hybrid materials and polyamide (PA) materials are designed.

In addition to its polymer expertise, Solvay offers a wide range of innovation and technical support services to help automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers maximize the potential benefits of RytonPPS with the latest expansion of the application development center in Bollate, Italy. .
