2. Participate in research work on superhard materials and products

Gold and Liaoning Province invented the first prize and won two national patents; actively supported the raw materials of the coarse-grain high-strength synthetic diamond single crystal, polycrystalline, composite sheet, cubic boron nitride and other superhard materials carried out by the team led by Fang Xiaohu. , research, purification, testing and other aspects of scientific research and the development and production of diamond drill bits, won a number of major breakthroughs; the "NCO-1 core orientation device" hosted by the institute won the second prize of the ministerial level and obtained the national patent .

For more than 30 years, he led the exploration room science and technology personnel to carry out research work on new technologies and related technologies around synthetic diamond drilling, and completed nearly 100 topics. Among them, there are 54 national and provincial-level projects, and dozens of in-house and horizontal contract projects. For more than 30 years, it has won 2 national scientific conference awards, 1 national first prize for scientific and technological progress, 1 national invention fourth prize, and 51 provincial and ministerial scientific and technological progress awards, including 9 second prizes.

2) Make important contributions to the promotion of synthetic diamond drilling technology in China

A series of research results of the Exploration Technology Room made the synthetic diamond drilling technology quickly support and fully promoted and applied in China, completely replacing the “steel grain” drilling technology introduced from the Soviet Union in the 1950s, and realized the “small caliber” drilling of synthetic diamond. technology. The drilling efficiency has doubled, and the monthly efficiency (monthly footage) has doubled, from more than 300 meters per month to more than 600 meters per month, even up to a kilometer, and the realization of the "steel grain" drilling can not be constructed. On July 5, 1975, Xinhua News Agency issued the "Dynamic Diamond Drilling Technology No. 1819" domestically developed with the advanced "synthetic diamond drilling technology" in China. In 1985, “Promotion and Application of Diamond Geological Core Drilling Supporting Technology” won the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, and I obtained the certificate.

3) Participate in and lead the design of the six-faced diamond press, and make greater contributions to the independent development of the six-face press in China.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Metallurgy in 1971, he led the research team to assist the Ministry of Metallurgy in the first two 6×600T six-sided diamond presses in the Shougang Exploration Team and the Mineyard. Subsequently, the Ministry of Metallurgy quickly armed the exploration company machinery factories in various regions, and the relevant domestic departments later also put on diamond presses. The huge “compressor group” not only contributed greatly to the smooth promotion of China's synthetic diamond drilling technology, but also accelerated the rapid development of the superhard material industry. In 1985, the company designed and developed the CS-1 type 6×800T press headed by Shen Rongyuan, and successfully transferred the technology to the Guilin Metallurgical Machinery Factory for mass production, which became the main product of the plant. The technicians of the plant continued to develop and expand the variety. The specifications make it the largest press production base in China with an annual output value of several hundred million yuan. The project won the second prize of 1989 Nonferrous Metals Corporation Science and Technology Progress Award and the third prize of Guangxi Science and Technology Progress Award. Between 1993 and 1996, after retiring, he successfully tested HS6×1000T and UDS-I6×1300T presses in Shenyang and Henan, and obtained two national patents.

4) Make outstanding contributions to the independent research and development of diamond drilling rigs

The design of the drilling rig is the strength of the exploration technology room. In the 1970s, the diamond-300 full hydraulic drilling rig with advanced performance was first introduced in China, and the development of the diamond-100, diamond-200 and diamond-600 series hydraulic drilling rigs was completed. At that time, it caused a sensation in the industry peers. In 1978, he received the design and development of the "August 1" full hydraulic remote control drilling rig for the underground nuclear test sampling issued by the National Defense Science and Technology Commission.
