"Substandard fire extinguishers pose a serious threat," said a fire official. "In case of a fire, they not only fail to put out the flames but can even make the situation worse. This is due to the use of low-quality materials, such as flour, which compromises their effectiveness." Earlier that day, firefighters demonstrated the danger of using fake extinguishers. They poured gasoline into an old drum and set it on fire. Using a genuine fire extinguisher, two sprays were enough to put out the fire.
