The reporter learned from the city's key project management office yesterday that the construction of molds and other auto parts production projects by Kaifeng Fengde Auto Parts Co., Ltd. (known as the Fengde Parts Project) is progressing rapidly. As of the end of 2012, the company had completed an accumulated investment of 11.51 million yuan, which accounts for nearly the full planned total investment. The project, which started in June 2012, has a total investment of 120 million yuan and is expected to be completed and operational by June this year. Once fully operational, the facility will have an annual production capacity of 2,000 sets of automotive molds and related components.
Currently, the project is accelerating its construction of production plants, with efforts focused on meeting the scheduled timeline. Meanwhile, another report from the same office revealed that the Boda Dongling Auto Parts Project, part of Kaifeng Boda Dongling Vehicle Co., Ltd., successfully completed a total investment of 50 million yuan in 2012, exceeding the annual target by 125%.
As a supporting project for Chery Automobile's Henan production base, the Boda Dongling Parts and Components Project has a total investment of 100 million yuan and is scheduled to be completed and put into operation by the end of this year. Upon completion, it will produce 100,000 sets of engine brackets and other auto parts for Chery mini-cars annually. Construction has already begun, and the project is moving forward steadily. These developments highlight the ongoing growth and progress of the local auto industry, driven by both domestic and international partnerships.
