This particular stool weighs less than 1 kg, while a wooden version of the same size would weigh at least 3 kg. Moreover, using 1 ton of new corrugated cardboard can replace approximately 15 to 20 cubic meters of wood, helping to conserve resources and reduce environmental impact.
“Paper furniture is gradually gaining popularity among consumers,†said Wang Jinliang. “In the future, we plan to open paper furniture franchise stores in densely populated communities.†This type of furniture uses a unique triangular force structure made from corrugated paper, without any nails. All joints are bonded with environmentally friendly glue. Under normal conditions, the lifespan of such furniture is around five years. If damaged, customers can return it for free, and the company will recycle it.
“We are currently negotiating with e-commerce giants like JD.com to expand our sales channels online,†added Wang Shuli. “Customers can even customize the design of their paper furniture based on their living space, creating personalized pieces that can decorate a bedroom for under 3,000 RMB.†The company’s eco-friendly "replace wood with paper" series includes exhibition counters, paper furniture, and household items.
