Since the early morning of August 31, heavy rainfall has occurred in many places in Shaanxi, causing floods in the Han River and the Weihe River and its tributaries. At the same time, it has also brought significant cooling to Shaanxi. Today (September 2nd), the precipitation process in Shaanxi has basically ended.

From 00 pm on August 31 to 08:00 on September 2, significant precipitation occurred in most parts of Shaanxi, and the heavy precipitation area was mainly in the middle and south of Hanzhong. According to the monitoring data of the township station at 08-08, there were 195 and 71 townships in Hanzhong, Baoji, Ankang, Shangluo, Xianyang, Xi'an and Weinan on August 31 and September 1, respectively. The total cumulative precipitation of the process is more than 100 mm in 215 townships, of which 14 towns in Hanzhong are above 200 mm.

According to the news from Shaanxi Province, the rainfall caused floods in the Han River and the Weihe River and its tributaries. There were a total of 38 rivers in the province with 38 flood peaks, including 10 rivers and 11 stations with over-alert flood peaks 16 times, 3 There were 5 super-guaranteed flood peaks at the 3 stations of the river. The flood peak of Shengshui Village Station in Lishui River is 2,900 cubic meters per second, the largest flood since 1981. The largest flood of the Manchu River tributary of Tangyu River has a history of 305 cubic meters per second.

Precipitation also brought significant cooling to Shaanxi. On September 1, the highest temperature in Xi'an, Weinan, Yulin and other areas dropped by more than 5 °C, and the maximum temperature drop occurred in Weinan, with a drop of 9.2 °C. After cooling, the maximum temperature in most areas is below 22 °C, and only about 17 °C in Yulin, Yan'an and Xianyang.

Today, the precipitation in Shaanxi has basically ended, and the Shaanxi Provincial Meteorological Bureau has lifted the Class III emergency response to major meteorological disasters at 08:00 today. According to the Shaanxi Provincial Meteorological Observatory, the province will be dominated by cloudy to sunny weather in the next three days.

Meteorologists have warned that although the precipitation weather has ended, relevant departments and the public, especially disaster-prone areas, still need to strengthen the prevention of storms and floods and their derivative disasters. In addition, September is the season for crop maturity and harvest in Shaanxi. Farmers should pay attention to the weather forecast in a timely manner, arrange the harvesting plan reasonably, and discharge water from the farmland as soon as possible to ensure the normal maturity of autumn crops and prevent crops from being reduced.
