Stone parquet is an artistic expression that combines the natural beauty of stone with creative design. Instead of using traditional pigments, artists use pieces of natural stone to create intricate and visually stunning patterns. This technique relies on the unique colors, textures, and materials found in natural stones, blending them with thoughtful artistic vision to produce a one-of-a-kind decorative art form.
Originating from mosaic techniques, stone parquet has evolved into a more advanced and refined product through the integration of modern processing technologies. Initially, it was similar to traditional stone mosaics, but as waterjet cutting and precision manufacturing improved, the complexity and detail of stone parquet increased significantly. While in some countries, it’s still considered part of the broader category of mosaics, stone parquet now stands out as a distinct and sophisticated art form.
Marble is the most commonly used material due to its rich color variations, fine texture, and moderate hardness, which make it ideal for detailed mosaic work. However, other materials like sandstone and slate are also being used in newer designs, though they remain less common. The development of waterjet technology has made it possible to achieve highly complex patterns, leading to the nickname “water knife parquet†for this type of artwork.
The process begins with digital design using CAD software, where the pattern is converted into CNC instructions. These instructions guide waterjet cutting machines to precisely shape each piece of stone. Once cut, the individual components are manually assembled and bonded together to form the final mosaic. This blend of high-tech precision and traditional craftsmanship results in a beautiful, durable, and artistic finish.
Designing stone parquet requires both creativity and practicality. Artists often draw inspiration from real life, capturing the essence of nature and human emotion. The selection of materials is equally important—high-quality stones with vibrant colors and clear textures are essential to achieving a visually striking result. Each piece is carefully cut, arranged, and polished to ensure a seamless and elegant outcome.
The production process involves five main steps: drawing the mold, selecting and preparing the materials, assembling the pieces, coloring and sealing the joints, and finally polishing the finished product. Each stage requires attention to detail and skill to maintain consistency in color, texture, and alignment.
When it comes to quality control, several standards must be met. The color should be uniform, with no visible differences or imperfections. The texture should be consistent, and the surface free of cracks. The size, gap, and stitching of the mosaic must be precise, within 1mm tolerance. The flatness, gloss, and adhesive color should all meet specific requirements to ensure a professional and long-lasting finish.
Proper packaging and labeling are also crucial. The glossy side should face outward, and the installation direction should be clearly marked. A quality label ensures that the product meets all necessary standards before it reaches the customer.
Stone parquet is more than just decoration—it's a celebration of nature, art, and craftsmanship, bringing beauty and elegance to any space it adorns.
Co Extruded Wear Resistant Layer Composite Pipe
Co-extrusion polyolefin elastomers (POE) abrasion resistant inner layer plastic composite pipes is characterised by taking co-extrusion thermoplastic polyolefin elastomers as the abrasion resistant inner layer, using a combination of steel wires (or glass fiber) reinforcements and high-density polyethylene. In addition to good workability and physical and mechanical properties as HDPE pipes, such pipes have good wear resisting performance. Co-extrusion abrasion resistant composite pipeline is a kind of anti-abrasion pipe with high cost-effective performance.
