At the beginning of the new year, there were widespread cold freezing, snowfall or sleet weather in Guizhou and Hunan, and the temperature dropped below 0 °C. Affected by low-temperature freezing disasters, many agricultural crops are affected by disasters. It is expected that there will be two freezing rains in Hunan in the next ten days. The response to persistent low-temperature freezing disasters remains arduous.
Guizhou, Hunan and other places continue to experience freezing rain, severe agricultural losses
As of the morning of January 6, Guizhou Bijie, Guiyang, northern Fujian, southeastern Guizhou and southwestern Hunan continued to maintain freezing rain. At the same time, frozen rain occurred in Qujing, Yunnan and Guilin, Guangxi (Figure 1); northern and eastern Hunan And snow or sleet in northern Guizhou.
Affected by low-temperature freezing disasters, agriculture in Minxiang, Guizhou and Guizhou has been affected. Some local vegetables have covered with a thick layer of ice. According to Xinhuanet, as of 17:00, the freezing disaster has caused all In addition to the eight cities (states, prefectures) and 67 counties (cities, districts) outside the southwestern Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, the affected population was affected to varying degrees. In the next 10 days, there are more rainy and snowy weather in southern China. The temperature in most areas is 1~2°C lower than that in normal years. The local areas of Guizhou and western Hunan are 3~4°C lower. There are 5-20 mm precipitation in the eastern part of the southwestern region, Jiangnan and southern China. The precipitation in most of the above areas is 3~70% higher than that in normal years; the main rain and snow freezing period appears on the 6th to 7th (Fig. 2) and 9~12 Day (Figure 3).
Guizhou: On the 6th, there were freezing rains in most areas, and freezing rain in the central and western parts from 7 to 8 days. From 9 to 12, most areas were small to medium snow (rain), with freezing rain in the central and western regions. After 13 days, the rain and snow and freezing rains weakened; after 15 days, the temperature showed a rising trend, and the rain, snow and freezing rains ended.
Hunan: From 6 to 7 days, there were freezing rains in parts of the west and south. The precipitation on the 8th was weak and there was no obvious freezing rain. From 9 to 13 days, there were small to medium snow (rain) in most areas, and freezing rain appeared in the west and south. After 15 days, the temperature is on a rising trend, and the rain, snow and freezing rain are over.
Guangxi: On the 6th, there was light rain in most areas and freezing rain in the northeast. On the 7th to 8th, the precipitation was weakened and there was no obvious freezing rain. From 9 to 13 days, there was light rain in most areas, moderate rain in some areas, and the temperature was still relatively normal. It is about 1 °C lower, and there is freezing rain in some parts of the northeast. After the 15th, it will gradually turn into a cloudy and cloudy weather, and the temperature is on a rising trend.

At the same time, the agricultural areas should strengthen farmland management, reinforce agricultural facilities such as greenhouses and greenhouses, and do a good job in anti-freezing and cold-proof work of livestock to reduce the effects of low temperature and freezing damage.
In order to actively cope with the freezing rain and weather, ensure that livestock and poultry safely pass through the cold winter, and control the loss of breeding, all livestock and poultry farms (households) must grasp the infrastructure of water, electricity, roads and livestock and poultry houses before the cold weather is coming. Comprehensive overhaul, timely reinforced damaged livestock houses to prevent collapse, in case of snow, timely remove snow, prevent collapse of the house, and prepare generators and a certain amount of oil, build a storage tank, and store water at any time. The water supply pipe is wrapped with insulation material to prevent the water pipe from cracking.
At the same time, areas where conditions permit can be used to increase soil temperature by spraying grass ash, covering straw or film, and to prevent freezing disasters; areas with excessive precipitation should pay close attention to clearing ditch, reduce soil moisture in farmland, and avoid wet picking. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen the management of vegetables and fruit trees.
