Wall treatment before paving wallpaper
The wall surface treatment is to make the wall surface smooth, clean, dry and free of cracks, voids, and solid without dust.
Cement, Brick Wall: The wall surface is flat, flattened with putty, brushed with a thin varnish and allowed to dry.
Gypsum board, plywood, and board; joints exist, so the joints must be first patched and then ashed.
The function of the varnish and the sealer primer is to cure and protect the surface of the putty, and also to strengthen the alkali resistance of the wallpaper. The paint should be applied after the putty is completely dry.
The wall treatment of the wallpaper-pasted wallpaper is almost the same as the wall treatment of the brush coating. Therefore, the brush coating wall is suitable for changing the wallpaper, but sanding treatment is required.
Wall construction requirements
Prior to the application of wallpaper, the quality of grassroots treatment shall meet the following requirements in accordance with the provisions of the National Standard of the People's Republic of China: Quality Acceptance of Building Decoration Engineering (GB50210-2001):
1. The concrete or plastering wall surface of the new building should be painted with an alkali-resistant sealing primer before scraping the putty.
2. The old wall surface should be cleared of loose old decoration before painting, and paint the interface agent.
3. The moisture content of the base layer of concrete or renders shall not be greater than 8%; the moisture content of the wood base shall not exceed 12%.
4. The base putty should be flat, strong, firm, non-powdered, and the bond strength of the peeling and putty should be in accordance with the "Building Interior Putty" (JG/T3049) N-type provisions.
5. The flatness of the grass-roots surface, the verticality of the facade and the angle of the yin and yang should meet the requirements of Article 4.2.11 Advanced Plastering of “Code for Quality Acceptance of Building Decoration Engineering†(GB50210-2001).
6. The base surface color should be the same.
7. Apply a closed lacquer-coated brush base before applying the paste.
8. Don't forget to consider the environmental issues of using glue.
Common wall problems and solutions to wall problems
Powder wall: If there is loose powder on the wall, it should be removed by sanding, leveled, brushed with varnish, or a wallpaper with a higher environmental protection performance. After being dried, the wallpaper can be pasted.
Light wall: The wall surface is very smooth, it is not easy to absorb glue, it is not easy to dry, and then the force will drop. Sanding is needed to paste the wallpaper.
Filling putty: Add more white glue in the putty to make it firm and not crack.
Flat putty: Put a small amount of white glue in putty for sanding.

Gypsum powder plus white glue instead of flat putty can speed up drying and shorten construction time.

Damp wall treatment
The wall of the room is damp and even moldy. At this time, anti-seepage liquid can be applied on the wall surface to form a colorless and transparent waterproof film layer on the wall surface, which can prevent the infiltration of foreign moisture, keep the wall dry, and then can decorate the wall surface. If the wall is damp, let the damp wall dry for a period of one to two months. Brush a layer of water-proof slurry mixed with cement on the wall to prevent moisture. Secondly, the wall pits are filled with gypsum putty. After drying, the wall surface is smoothed with sandpaper. Then, the primer can be coated with rollers on a dry clean wall twice, or sprayed.
